Kind Hearted Staff, But Inattentive At Times

Loved the people - they were very kind. My mom could only whisper, and sometimes you had to have your ear next to her mouth to understand her. She had a bell to ring when she needed help. We had care 24x7. Staff would go downstairs and watch TV. We had requested staff remain upstairs near my mom where they could hear her ring the bell. My mom reported that staff could not hear her when she needed help and rang the bell. She was unable to walk or talk and had weeks to live, so her condition could and did worsen quickly. Hospice came and recognized her worsening and she was quickly admitted to the facility. However, the Hopewell Staff went well beyond the call of duty in making food purchases, sometimes after their shift ended, to help my mom. All of the staff was cheerful and kind to both my mom and myself. I would have been totally satisified had they monitored her more closely.
